He was also an architect, lawyer, musician, and inventor. Thomas Jefferson was my husband. My name is Martha Jefferson. I didn't live to see my husband get elected third president of the United States of America. My daughters Patsy and Polly took on the duties of hostesses of the white house when I passed away."
