Photo of the week!

BYU

July 2014: by Bjorn

It was great to see many of you at the Pratt reunion this past weekend. Thank you to Matt and Brenda for organizing such a great event. Becky and I thought it was a perfect blend of open time and good, meaningful activities. We were uplifted by our time with such a wonderful family.

I’m not sure what we may have written about in past letters, so if anything is a repeat, please forgive me. It’s hard to believe that summer is more than half over. Its going by WAY too quickly. We had a pretty eventful June with a trip to the San Francisco area for a President’s Cup regional tournament for Natalie’s soccer team. They did quite well and made it to the semi-final game. Natalie had a fun time. Becky and I enjoyed some time together, just the two of us, visiting Boyd and Karinne and then spending a day in Yosemite and then meeting up with the team before the first game the next day. Our favorite part of Yosemite was the Mist Trail hike. We enjoyed staying with my cousin in Palo Alto and traveling back and forth to Morgan Hill each day for the games. We ended up traveling straight through the night on Saturday to get home for Father’s Day and Isaac speaking in church. Who needs sleep, right? We were grateful to Grandma for coming to stay with the other kids while we were gone. We were also grateful to Melissa and Rachel for helping Auriana register for classes at BYU while we were gone – being up at midnight with her and providing good advice on what classes to take. I can’t believe we have a daughter attending BYU in the fall!

June was also filled with girls camp, football tournaments and basketball and soccer. Since Becky is the secretary in the young women’s presidency she spent some time up at camp, and I enjoyed going up for an evening with the bishopric. We took the girls pizza and they loved it. Miriam is excited to now be on a club soccer team. I get to be the assistant coach and am looking forward to some fun times with this group of girls over the next several years. Enoch’s soccer team is transitioning to 11 vs 11 and so they added 6 new players to their team and they’re all great friends and love to play soccer together and just hang out together. Isaac participated in a 7 on 7 football tournament at BYU and caught 3 touchdown passes and had many other great receptions. Auriana is working each day and trying to come to grips with impending adulthood. J Miriam and Ellie are enjoying swimming lessons and having as much fun with friends as possible.

Natalie is currently up in Idaho at the girls ranch for two weeks. The rest of the family will join her on the 28th for the family camp – same as we did 2 years ago when Auriana went. We’re looking forward to some down time away from the normal routine.

We’re also looking forward to seeing many of you at the Young Reunion coming up. Happy birthday to the recent June birthdays and all the July birthdays, especially my wonderful wife on her 40th!

We love you!
